TeacherTube is where
teachers share videos of instructional learning. There are 25 different
categories to pick from, such as math or holidays, when trying to find video
blogs. I chose this website because it is easy to navigate through and has a
lot of middle school content that I could use in my future instruction
techniques.
Edutopia is a blogging
website that provides methods to engage students while producing content to
improve learning. I particularly like this website there is a lot more classroom
management strategies provided than just instructional content.

The first thing that
comes to my mind when using blogging in teaching is for developing student’s
writing skills. Typically, students write in a notebook that only the teacher
may read at some point. Blogs could be a great place for students to write
formally or informally and have their writing easily accessible by teachers
and/or peers. You could have students write about a certain subject and then
have each student pick someone else’s writing to read and review. This would
give the students in the classroom more ability to read what and how their
peers write to broaden their ideas and skills.
